Common Problems7.1 Why can't I save?Due to the public nature of the lab computers saving is restricted to your disk and in the TEMP SAVE folder. The TEMP SAVE folder should not be used as a permanent location for saving a file because the folder is deleted every night when the labs are closed. 7.2 Why can't I install my application on the machines?In general these facilities are provided for academic work. If you need software installed for a class fill out the Software Request Form. Under no circumstances should lab users install or attempt to install personal software on lab machines. Installing software may result in disciplinary action. 7.3 The computer I was using failed to operate properly. What should I do?If the computer you are working on fails to function properly please notify the consultant on duty so that the problem will be corrected. 7.4 How do I get my e-mail account?
